During your mini session, I want you to be able to just spend genuine quality time with your family with no expectations or pressure. It's simply coming together to decorate some cookies (in a kitchen that you didn't have to clean!) or laughing together with some giant ornaments. Christmas is magical...let me help turn those memories into lasting works of art.

...and you want it to be perfect.

Your kids are growing, your family is growing, and soon all that’s left of this time in your life are the memories. My goal is to create beautiful images that help you cherish these moments and truly appreciate your perfectly  imperfect life.

This just might be your favorite time of year...

Christmas Mini Sessions

step three

step two

step one

Booking a session is as easy as 1-2-3:

Choose your backdrop

Pay the $75 session fee

Sign the contract

I don't want you to feel pressure to choose a specific photo package before you've even experienced the session and seen your images. Paying for the session itself ahead of time allows for just that.

This way, I get to spend more time with you and give you guidance on locations and details beforehand. THEN, once you've seen your images from your session, you can choose which package you think is best for you. Keep scrolling to see package options!

What's up with this session fee?

  • First, a few cute portraits in front of the window
  • Then, frost and decorate sugar cookies while giggling and sneaking frosting
  • The BEST part?? You don't have to worry about having the perfect kitchen or cleaning up after!

Cookie Kitchen

  • Color is totally coming back into style and I am loving all the bright Christmas colors!
  • First, a few portraits and smiles
  • Then, gently bounce around and dance and giggle some more

Be reminded of the love you have for each other.

As you hang your family portraits on the walls or save them as your phone lock screen,

I thought long and hard about how to structure my sessions so it will benefit my artistic side while not neglecting your needs or my business side. I realize that not every family's budget is the same, but I want everyone to have the same experience. So, instead of one set price, you get to choose which images you love after you see your gallery! You will have 3 collections to choose from, which will include a set number of digital images and a print credit to order your favorites to hang on your wall, gift to grandparents, or simply display on your desk. There is a store attached to your gallery where you can choose from my favorite products, including prints, canvas + wood photos, loose prints in a box, and more.

Do I get all the digitals? Can I order prints through you?

In almost 10 years as a photographer, I have never (knock on wood) had a mini session failure. I'm quick and I'm seeing things that you aren't. My number one tip?? Don't be an angry parent. If someone was mad at you because you weren't smiling, would that make you want to smile more? Nope. I can work with *almost* anything as long as the parents are smiling and happy!

My second tip? Give yourself plenty of time. A rushed family is a stressed family. Make time for missing shoes, a second trip to the bathroom, a traffic delay. Since these are mini sessions and scheduled super tight, it's REALLY important to be on time. Otherwise, I will have to cut your session short or possibly move it to the end.

How can I make our session successful? I'm worried there won't be any good photos in that short of a session!

FAQs

I totally understand awkwardness - in fact, I'm probably more awkward than you are! I take charge and run your session right from the beginning. I'll give you prompts, some posing ideas, and everything to help your family shine. Remember, my goal is to document you as you are, only a little better. And also, kids are kids. I expect some cooperation from them, but I would never expect them to sit and be quiet for an hour. We will run, play, climb on things, and maybe be a little silly. This is a chance to just hang out together without the distractions of phones or screens! If you love on each other and laugh in all the right places, you will make amazing memories that will be captured forever.

I get so stressed about family photos and we are so awkward! Any advice?

All sessions are scheduled for Saturdays; in case of rain or inclement weather, the session will be held at the same time on Sunday. If Sunday is also not great, well, then I will try to find another date that works for both of us!

Please make sure you have both dates available; I will not refund your session fee if we need to move to Sunday. However, I will work with you if we need to schedule to a completely different date as I know that scheduling is hard!

What happens if the weather is bad that day?
